Flock is a body of work that was inspired by my recent discovery and obsession with the bird paintings of famous 19th century ornithologists, Alexander Wilson and John James Audubon. My process of recreating the images of these famous ornithologists facilitates my interest in producing drawings in a mechanical way. I aim to increase the viewer’s awareness of the already existing imagery, and to simultaneously create a vision that is entirely original and distinct, my very own Flock.
